Down the Rabbit-Hole

Alicewas sittingby her sisteron the river bank.

Shewas starting to feelvery tired.

Shehad nothing to do.

Once or twiceshe lookedinto her sister’s book.

But the bookhad no picturesor talking in it.

“Why read a book,”Alice thought,“without picturesor talking?”

It wasa hot day.

She feltvery sleepyand a bit silly.

She was thinking aboutmaking a chain of flowers.

Was it worththe work of getting up?

Then, suddenly,a White Rabbitwith pink eyesran near her.
